my ignition system burned out,there does'nt seem to be a new one,available.So my question is.is there any other type that can be converted(like the honda regulator?) Or can it be converted to old time breaker points?

What burned out and how did you determine this? What year, model? Is this a magneto ignition system?

Hi Mr. marty,

I'm not sure what you mean by "ignition system burned out". There are several components involved, from the spark plugs to the coils to the signal generator to the igniter. The Dyna S ignition system from Dynatek is a popular aftermarket replacement for these vintage bikes. Do us a favor and put your bike's year and model in your signature file. Then we'll know what we're talking about.

Yeah good luck finding an ignitor for it if that's what you need... if it's an 81 250T the Dynatek DS3-3C might be a direct bolt on for you...

If not, there's a guy retrofitting a 250 mechanical advance on his 300 and using a Dynatek DS3-3C as well, should work like a charm...
