Grey Dyna coils on 80 GS1100 ?
I got a free set of new grey Dyna coils & was wondering if they would work on my 80 GS1100E or my 83 GS1100S Katana. I believe they are the 2.2 ohm coilsTags: None

2.2 ohm coils will work if you can add a couple of ballast resistors in line.Ed
To measure is to know.

Yes, auto type. 1 - 1.5 ohm would be about right.
To figure out what resistance please look in your service manual for the OEM coil specs. For example, if the specs say you should have 3 ohm coils, then you need 1 ohm ballast resistors.Ed
