Generic name for Dyna S connector?
Can someone tell me the generic name for the little plastic connector used to splice a Dyna S into the bike's wiring? Mine's missing, and I need the name of the thing before going to the parts store.

I've used male and female weatherpack connectors. (with pig tails). Get one of each and splice away. You could use a four pin trailer plug set too. It would be a bunch cheaper than weatherpack connectors.
As for the Dyna connectors themselves, get them from Dynatec.

Thanks guys. If the the Dynatek ones are crap, what is the best gizmo to use? I will check out the weatherpak stuff-are there other options that are bulletproof?

No gismo. Tap into the wires you need to by stripping back the insulation and soldering in the tap wire. Heat shrink over the joint when finished. Scotchloks are open to the elements and often develop corrosion and resistance in the joint. They are marginally passable on the interior of a car, but not where water and moisture can get inside the joint.Ed

Thanks Nessism. That is what I decided to do, as the most secure method. it looks like those gadgets are fast to install, but not the best, like most shortcuts.
