Starter button stops working when tightened up

Hi I installed new black Renthal Ultra Low handle bars and after market throttle/ hand grips and on my bike. When I tighten the switch down the starter button does not work. Any ideas? Do I have to sand the black off the handle bars under the switch?

Wire pinched and its grounding off the bars...reset the wiring inside the switch and mark the area on the bars where the switch clamps on and give it a few wraps of electrical tape. Slide switch back into position and tighten down. Trim any tape sticking out off.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.
