Which you asking about? THe white connector with 4 conductors? THe thin red wire with connectors? THe bare connector?

yes the gs1100E 1982. Its the plug im holding, it has to cut wires from the back, but those wires dont exist in the bike. i dont see the cut wires anywhere.
also im waiting for my service manual to come in....i had to get it from new zealand..?? anyways, does anyone know what connection that is that im holding?

Even if two of the four are cut off flush with the connector, the remaining two might give some clues.

no?? it looks to be all stock, just the previous owner was definitely not apt on a few things.
also, ill get the cut wire colors in the AM. but that still doesnt help me to what that connector connects to.

You might want to pull off the ignition cover and look to see what kind of ignition is on the bike. Maybe someone installed an aftermarket ignition like the Dyna-S that does not require an ignitor. At any rate, the ignitor is typically mounted in the battery box area, commonly on the RH side of the bike.Ed
