    14A battery in a 10A system

Hi fellow GS'ers! I recently picked up a 1980 GS550 L project bike. It had, among many other things wrong, a 12A battery in it. I read the manual and it should be a 10A battery. My question to you guys is this, would that cause any damage? And I have a new 14A battery hanging around and though about hooking that up while I try to figure out the spark issue and while cleaning out the carbs. Ya know just to get it fired up and and running in the garage. Is this a bad idea?

Thanks Old School! The 14 won't fit in the battery box but a 12 obviously does. I had the 14 hooked up while I was trying to figure out a no spark issue. BTW, I think AC/DC friggin rocks to!!
