1-4 2-3 coils does it matter?

Are all of the early points style coils from a 78 GS750 the same? I need one for the 2-3 holes but can get one for the 1-4, will it work ?

Some bikes have different electrical connector plugs on the coils to differentiate RH from LH, but some don't. Even if the plug is different, it's easily switched since the coils are identical otherwise.
