Common sense isn't as common as it should be.

Supply continuous 12V power to the pickup side of the relay coil, and tie the ground side of the coil to the neutral switch to complete the circuit when in neutral. That will close the normally opened relay switch. Run a jumper from each side of the clutch switch to each side of the relay switch. The relay will automatically close the clutch switch when in neutral, and open in gear so it works like your Honda system.
This looks great, I'll give it a try! Thanks

Can you tanslate that into the standard pin numbers found on a Bosch-style relay?

You know, the ones with 30, 85, 86 and 87.

Awesome OldVet66 I love it when a guy in the know steps up and slays the naysayers who say do not try.

If the normally opened relay uses the same terminal numbers, 85 (ground terminal) to neutral switch, 86 constant 12V (on with key), jumper from one side of clutch switch 87, jumper from other side of clutch switch 30. All relays have a schematic, so go with whatever is printed on the relay or associated paperwork.

I think I have it figured out, it's just that your terminology "the pickup side of the relay coil" had me confuzzled.

There doesn't seem to be a good descriptive word for the electromagnetic coil and armature that opens and closes the relay switch, sorry about the confusion.
