HELP! Turn signals won't come off? It just spins.

    Hi,

Attempting to take off the turn signals off of the rear Vetter fairing, however they will just spin. The nut will only unscrew to a certain point, then the inner rod (or whatever) just spins. It won't come off anymore. The plastic shell isn't off enough to try to grab on to the rod to stop it from spinning.

What I am I missing or doing wrong?

Unfortunately no time to just get new ones, as I'm supposed to be driving the bike a good distance to Rock Falls Raceway Saturday.

    Thank you,

    Kevin

Figured it out! The inner rod is threaded on both sides, and with a little finesse you can wiggle it loose enough to fit a clamp to hold while you twist the nut off.

I am curious now about the "rear" Vetter fairing.

Care to elaborate or show some pictures of this particular fairing?

I have been around Vetter fairings for over 30 years and have never seen one on the rear.

Rear fairing is in saddle bags/trunk.

Sorry, never heard that part called a "fairing".

To me, a "fairing" is something that will deflect or re-direct airflow.
