GS550 INSTALLED DYNA S now bike will not turn over

ok so the bike before with stock ignition turned over fine but only was sparking 2/3 coil, now i installed the dyna s ignition setup but bike will not turn over, i can jump the solenoid across and it turns over with spark now though, but for some reason now the bike will not turn over by start switch? stumped...

Is the rotor free to advance? When I installed mine the included spacer was too thick and would not allow the rotor to advance when the crank bolt was tightened down. I ended up sanding about 0.7mm off the top of the rotor and then it was free to advance. How did you set up your timing? My install, and others I have heard of, were very near the ends of the slots when the timing was right.

fitting a dyna s does not involve tampering with the starting circuit. you must have an issue elsewhere. try all the fuses for a start

yeah all the fuses appeared to be good, i noticed there to be an extra plug in connector not plugged into anything but the only thing i did away with was the CDI which was the large green plug but close to it coming off the main wiring harness is a white 4 plug connector but only has 3 wires to it and its not plugged into anything, i dont remember if it was plugged into anything but i have nothing else it could plug into either thats the only thing not hooked up to something

Good call, Agemax. When I see "turn over", I always think "start", since I've seen so many people say "it will crank but it won't turn over".

I think the connector you're talking about is the sig gen connector, which you also removed. How did you hook up the Dyna red wire?

Yep, that's the sig gen connector. You'll no longer use it.
