I've not got any interest in running points, but I am interested in being able to replace the whole ignition system with something distinctly newer, like a Boyer Bransden pickup kit. At the moment, I'm getting issues cropping up left right an centre, and I'd really like to be able to eliminate as much of the old semi-experimental design work that came out of the factory, such as that godawful transistorised ignition, and the absurdly expensive and hard-to-source ignitor unit.

Modernising the electrics a bit...
Hi all. As you may remember, I have a GS650GT. I've got a seemingly counter-intuitive question for you all: can I fit a GS750's points system to the GS650?

Hi,
The Dyna-S ignition system is the standard upgrade. It replaces the insanely expensive igniter unit.
Thank you for your indulgence,

Cool. Thanks - I've just spoken to the guys at DynoJet, and while they want a couple of measurements from me to make sure that the kit will fit on to the bike physically, they reckon it should work. Now I've just got to scrape a few hundred quid together...
