What will happen if I simply disconnect all the front end wiring

So I am building a GSX750 for my neighbor and I really don't feel like rewiring a bike that was perfectly wired stock for this build. I have all the electrics that I want to use identified (just turn signals, headlight, speedo light, tach light....yup) and there is of course a huge mess of other wires up front that the factory just threw behind that lower square fairing.

Can I just leave the other wires alone without interupting what I want?

I have a feeling I should definitely not just disconnect or cut as some thing will be sharing a circut, but I am trying my utmost to be careful not to screw this up. Typically I would just rewire myself and simplify in the process, but I have wired enough bikes to know that it is very time consuming and usually leads to trouble in some fashion.

Just want some input about what you would do in my situation.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

personally I would look at what you have and figure out what modifications have been made.

If it is stock it is probably fine just to leave it as is. If it is modified then all bets are off. If possible restore to stock or figure out what the PO did and make sure the modifications are sound.

Starting over from scratch is a bigger challenge for sure.

      Thanks POSPLAYR,

As far as I can tell it is good and stock lest one item the PO added, which is one of those modulators for the headlight so it flickers while you ride along. It appears to be something that will be very easy to remove.

For now I will just leave it stock and take the wires I need, leave the rest alone as it is not hurting anything to be there, and figure out a way to tuck the rest away (maybe it'll all squeeze into the headlight bucket).

Just curious if anyone has ever simplified things in a similar manner before by just taking what you need and leaving the rest or deleting the rest.

      Thanks!

Do you have a wiring diagram?

          What year is that "GSX750"?

I ask because some of them had monitors for various functions, and if you remove the function, the monitor goes nuts.
