77 gs 750 wont start

    77 gs 750 wont start

    I have 77 gs 750 it worked great than parked it for two weeks and wouldnt start. I saw coil looked cracked so I replaced the coils and still no start. It turns over fine its just not getting fire to plugs. Anyone have ant suggestions?

    1A) (NEW) Trying to diagnose running problems on a bike with an unknown maintenance history. Common maintenance items like clean carbs, properly adjusted valves, no air leaks in the intake system (airbox, carb boots), a clean gas tank (no rust), and a properly functioning petcock are 100% mandatory for the bike to run properly.

      I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

        Did you try to Prime it first?
        Did you use the Choke to start it?

          V8...he says there is no spark to the plugs ( which i took as in all 4 plugs ). I have had bikes start one day and a week later not and upon changing the points and condensors they fire right up. In fact, the first time it happened and couldnt figure out what the heck, I called Dale and he told me to change them. I had done all the OHM tets etc etc and he hit the nail on the head.

            Everything begins with properly cleaned carbs, air tight intake and exhaust system, properly adjusted valves, properly serviced and functioning charging system. Have a look at all of the information in the links below in your "mega-welcome".
