Caltric r/r
Anyone have any experience with these r/r from this company? Prices are very reasonable. I know Basscliff has one of their stators and seems happy with it. terryleeTags: None

Ive only used their stator (which my bike burned out twice), but I would think a newer Shindingen unit would be more robust and cheaper.

Hi,
I currently have the Caltric stator. For the r/r I'm using a Honda unit from the "approved" list that I bought off eBay.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff

Just thought a new one might be good, can't really afford FH020. Haven't found any on ebay very cheap or not very old. terrylee

Thanks, I did print out the r/r list, I didn't see some models on the list or hightlighted in blue, so wasn't sure if some units would work. terrylee

I think I would check out these before buying a shunting r/r. http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...t=series+r%2Fr"Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded" -Yogi Berra

Didn't realize that unit is shunt type. Will keep a close eye on it after installed (have volt meter on bike). At least I hope it's a major improvement over the oem one. terrylee
