will 2.2 dyna coils work

I have a 1982 gs 1100 gl.A friend gave me a set of the grey 2.2 ohm grey dyna coils' Is there any way that I can use them? My bike has the pointless ignition. As always any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Tom

Sure you could use them..... but they would likely be pushing the limits of current that stock ignitor was designed to deliver (stock coils being 4 ohm). Is there something wrong with your current setup?

2.2 ohm dyna coil

After giving it much thought I decided to stay with the correct coils now on the bike. I had these dyna and thought about using them. Thanks for taking the time to advise me. Thanks, Tom

You could put a resistor just before the coil to bring it up to 3ohm...
