Sh530-12
This may be a topic that has been discussed before, but my question is concerning an SH530-12 R/R. I need to replace the one on my gs1100L 1982 model. the chart says 20 amps from this unit. will that be enough for my gs1100. all the postings are concerning gs550s it seems. thanks for any advice. they can be had on ebay for next to nothing. I hate to spend 100$ for a new one that might not be as good.Tags: None

Hi,
I have a cheap one from eBay and it's been going great for almost 5 years.
Yes, that r/r unit will work in your bike. If I was going to buy a brand new r/r unit I would save my pennies and get a Compufire unit. Although, I hear the Shindengen SH775 can be had new and that would be a good one too, a lot less expensive than the Compufire.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff
