    Turn signal & headlamp controls

I bought the bike with the controls missing for the turn signals, head lamp, and the horn. Was wondering if/where I could get new ones with the wiring or if I have to get it from a junk yard off another gs450l?

So you don't have the left switch assembly at all??? what year 450? On my bike, the connector from this switch terminates in a white nylon plug under gas tank- I think it has maybe 7 or 8 wires in the connection. You might get lucky at junkyard or on ebay, but you need to know what the plug looks like.

Here's an example of what's on my bike so you can visualize what I mean about the connector

often used switches are missing knobs like this one

That's exactly what I'm missing. I have an '82. I need someone with an 82 gs45l to confirm this will work:

It also helps to know what the rest of that sub-harness looks like.

I have two switches here that have both come off 850s. One of them has shorter wires than the other. Besides the shorter wires, there are wires that end in a connector that goes to the headlight, and they are only a few inches from the 9-pin white nylon plug. That tells me that the white connector will end up inside the headlight bucket. The other control that I have has longer wires, and there are no wires for the headlight. The white connector on that one will end up under the tank, not in the headlight bucket.

            How about a New One?

Boulevard Suzuki can order a new one for $118.00
            SWITCH ASSY,Left Handle Bar 37400-45603
I just bought new ones (both sides) for my GS1000S after messing around trying to fix the wiring and switches, bit the bullet and ordered them, glad I did.

It's great they are still available.

Or buy the ebay one for $29.00 and the ON/OFF switch from Boulevard as the individual switches are all still available

                Hey Cheryl,

You can always try kandstech.com...they make several aftermarket units that you should be able to use, they are nearly half the cost..not bad quality..you just have to make up your own connections in the headlight bucket...not a big deal. The OEM should come with the "Molex" connectors already to plug into the exsisting connectors.
