    there is a filter on the petcock, inside the tank. that is the only filter you need
    1978 GS1085.

          First motorcycle, I would have looked or asked (like i did) but on atv's and stuff you should always add one. the dealer SHOULD have known better.

            no way am I paying more then $25 for a pair of those boots let alone what I see them going for. I will just repair the one I have till next time they happen to be off.

                it is, and i would expect so. A little rubber compound would help ensure it
