82 gs1100 igniter question
Hey guys I just swapped my 82 gs1100g motor into my 82 gs850L and have run into an unexpected issue with the ignitor pickups. The pickups on my 850 have two wires coming out which then go to the ignitor, but the pickups on my 1100 have four wires coming out. What would be the easiest way to go about this? Can I just swap the pickups? Or do I have to get the igniter off an 1100 to make it work? Sorry I'm pretty dumb when it comes to this igniter business, I searched but didn't really find too much info. Has anyone that has done this swap run into this before?Tags: None

You need to use the 850 signal generators and spark advance mechanism. I "think" they are a direct bolt on, but not positive. The 1100G didn't use a centrifugal spark advance, since the ignitor had the advance built in.
Look at the parts here. http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htmEd
