Starter turns slow for a moment when hot.

I am still shaking down Medussa ('82 1100GK), as I just registered her after a lot of maintenance work.
I am noticing that the starter seems to bind up a little as I restart her when the bike is real hot, like after stopping for gas. Doesn't seem to do it on a cold start.
Is it time for another starter?
On the Yamaha Ventures, this was something you just lived with. They all did it.
How about on the big GS's?

    Hi,

If you are sure it's not a charging issue or battery problem, it's a simple enough job to replace the brushes and clean up the commutator. That's usually all you have to do to freshen up the starter.

    Thank you for your indulgence,

    BassCliff

Not a GS issue. A buddies bike did this exact thing, turned out to be a loose negative cable on his battery. Worth a look. Might be a bad connection on the starter relay as well?

I would check the connections first, but my money is on BassCliff. Seen it lots of times.
