I have a 1982 gs 750t with 5500 miles on it. I am having a problem with the headlights and cluster lights. When I first start my bike the headlight and cluster lights are very brights, but after I put my bike in gear and drive the lights become very dim, to the point where I can't see my head light on the road. When I get home and I Park my bike the light is bright again . I am confused to what the problem is, this happens every day I ride my bike!!!

Sorry for not replying sooner. I ended up replacing my stater, and I also created a ground going straight to the battery.

What are reasonable voltage drops in the headlight circuit? I've dropped 0.6V at the supply side of the top three fuses and a further 0.2V by the time it gets to the headlamp connector plug. No drop between plug earth pin and battery negative.97 R1100R

Compute R as V/I (I for a standard head lamp is 5 amps).
A reasonable resistance is about 0.1 ohms and no more.
