    glass to blade fuse adapter?

    Dopes anyone know if they make an adapter that will fit into glass fuse spot ans allow to use the blade type fuses?

      Great.but will the fuse box cover snap on with them installed? Not much clearance there!!!

        Thanks jeep rusty!

        But I had not thought of Chuck's point. but a cover would be easier to fabricate than a new fuse block. At least in my opinion.

          I am sure they will swivel down and fold on top of each other to some degree..but how much is what I am wondering here.

                why change?
                1981 GS750L - Owned since 1990 when graduated high school and since have been discovering all the things not disclosed by seller.
                1983 GS750E - bought in 2016 as a rough runner to use while rebuilding 81L and then to combine with ES to make one good one
                1983 GS750ES - bought in Toronto in 2015 on a lark as a non-runner, missing front cowling and exhaust - If you have a 1983 750ES front cowling let me know! Blue would be nice

                  If you want blade fuses just install a fuse box from a newer gs. I put a gs1100 fuse box in my gs1000 and it was pretty straight forward. Plus you get a nice accessory hook up point also.

                  I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.

                      Maybe he wants to keep everything as original as he can. Would you cut a good OEM fuse panel out of a skunk or a Cooley..or anything else that you want to keep as original as possible? I wouldn't.

                        That is part of it.
                        The other aspect is , it would be easier to plug in fuses than figuring out how to connect a different fuse box.

                            Ditto. You're attacking the wrong problem here.

                            The fuses themselves aren't really the problem -- it's all the connections that get dirty and corroded.

                            Adding more connections is sort of silly.
