    GS 1100 ignition wiring question

does anybody no why the GS 1100 e uses a four wire ignition switch while other current bikes use 3 wires? I put modern forks on the GS and would like to use that bikes ignition, which is 3 wire.
1981 GS 1100e turbo, 83 motor, turbo pistons, new head, new turbo, backed and welded clutch basket, Dyna S ignition, cbr 929 front end, gsxr 750 rear end with 190 tire, all carbon fiber covered bodywork.

Four wire ignition switches I am familiar with:
Red. Power In from main fuse (and R/R)
Org. Power out back to fuse block Ignition, Signal, & Headlight fuses.
    Gry. Light Circuit.
    Brn. Tail Light.

Switch In ON: Red to Org, Gry to Brn.
Switch In Park: Red to Brn
    Swtich in Off: nothing
    Switch in Lock: nothing
