Stator check without running bike
I've found partially melted connectors between the stator and R/R. I had to break both 9-pin connectors under the tank because the 2 halves were nearly fused together on both of them. Tested the R/R, and it is faulty. I can't run the bike right now until I get new connectors. Is there a way to test the stator without running the bike? Any chance it's still good?https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9zH8w8Civs8ejBJWjdvYi1LNTg&resourcekey=0-hlJp0Yc4K_VN9g7Jyy4KQg&authuser=fussbucket_1%40msn.com&usp=drive_fs

Not rewiring your charging system is on the Top Newbie Mistakes list. Too bad more people don't fix this issue before they melt down their wiring harness.Ed

Their pricing is pretty good on OEM Suzuki parts too.https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9zH8w8Civs8ejBJWjdvYi1LNTg&resourcekey=0-hlJp0Yc4K_VN9g7Jyy4KQg&authuser=fussbucket_1%40msn.com&usp=drive_fs

stator good!
After replacing all those melted connectors, I was able to fire her up today. The stator is good! Hoo-ray! I'll be asking Santa for that new R/R now. Fork seals and tires left to go, then I'll just need some warm days for riding!https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9zH8w8Civs8ejBJWjdvYi1LNTg&resourcekey=0-hlJp0Yc4K_VN9g7Jyy4KQg&authuser=fussbucket_1%40msn.com&usp=drive_fs

Congrats, took me 2 years to get mine running again. lol Now to get everything tuned up and back to road worthy. 2 years gave me lots of time to mess with all the little things.
