need a battery?
first of all..i own no stock in this company..i don't work for them...saw this on a car show today and checked it out...starkpower.com...i don't think they're affilliated with ironman..but they do make some nice looking lithium motorcycle batteries...they're direct replacement and come with a charger...last ten years..or so they say...1/3 the weight..blah blah blah...thought it was worth a mention...

Stuff I've done to my bike:dancing: 1100E front end with new Sonic springs, 1100E swing arm conversion with new Progressive shocks installed, 530 sprockets/chain conversion, new SS brake lines, new brake pads. New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong. -

Not that spendy when you take into account of a 10 year life span. Thats almost 2 batteries. It may be a good battery, but if they're going to claim 8-10 years lifespan, I need to see a similar warranty to back that up. Instead, their warranty is only 3 years, which anyone can get out of a flooded plate battery if they take good care of it. At 3-4x the price of a flooded plate battery, the math says the price is either break-even or more expensive over the long term. (Unless it dies just out of warranty, and then it's waaaay more expensive.)Comment
