So I just got my mini volt/temp/time gadget in the mail from China. I'm now trying to figure out where to mount it. I was hoping that it would be tiny enough to wedge inside the area where the temperature idiot light is, but I don't know if that's going to be a good idea. I've also got the gear indicator that I thought would be cool where the Green Neutral light is. All hidden away and invisible to the masses.

I'm going to hook the thing up first and see if it even works before I start cutting stuff up. It would be pretty cool if I could hide both of these inside the tachometer housing and have them show through the dial face....

here is an idea if you are ambitious. Figure out a way to change the light arrangement.

      And swap things as so:
      • Neutral become Left Turn
      • High Beam becomes Right Turn
      • Turn becomes HIGH Beam with the LED gauge indicator inserted into the center.

The Neutral light with gear indicator is a bit redundant. If the back lighting with high beam is not too much you should still be able to clearly see the gear and the change to green when in Neutral.

Get some of that plastic floresent plastic for light boxes so you have the diamond defusing pattern on one side of the plastic, and then insert new

I was thinking nearly the same thing, but what about the 3 in 1 Temp/Volt/Time unit? I have some of that light box material from my Airstream RGB LED project.

I was going to go a little different:
        • delete turn indicator - insert gear indicator top and center. I can see the front turn signals from the driver's seat anyway.
        • delete Neutral and Temp (now redundant)- insert 3 in 1 in that space.

Kind of like how I imagined it in my previous picture when I didn't realize what was where on the dash You know, it's new to me.

I'm expecting the temp sensor to work with the onboard sensor under the carbs. Hopefully I'm right. I'm also expecting the volt meter to jump all over the place when it's reading and that Posplayr will have a simple solution to slowing it's movement.

        Thanks for the feedback.

It will lose a little voltage but it will have a lot less noise. If you volt meter will adjust then reset it for 14.5 when the terminal is at 14.5 rather than the meter.

Pretty sure the meter is not adjustable.
That's a 10 Ohm capacitor right? I don't know electro speak very well.

You are correct, you dont know.

10uF is 10 Mico Farads. Ohms is resistance for a resistor.

The value is not critical and the larger you make it the better but there will be a limit to where big enough is big enough.
