    GS450L Fuel Gauge issue

Have a strange issue with my GS450L. Fuel gauge stays at E until the engine RPM goes up. As the RPM goes up, the needle moves toward F. Has the feel on an electrical issue, but there are no other obvious electrical issues. Headlight is bright and steady, signals work, battery charges, etc. any ideas?

Probably like my gauge,so disconnect the two wires going to tank; measure the resistance of the tank's sending unit (not tho wires going to gauge ). Mine supposedly reads about 120 ohms on "E" dropping to about 1 ohm when "F". try cleaning connections

I would start first, no matter, by checking the charging system. rule it out as a cause. at least put a meter on the battery leads and run the bike, then do the ohms test of the sending unit.
MAYBE the wires are pinched under the tank and vibration changes the reading???
