Instrument Panel Bulbs: test and reuse, or replace?

Had two "new from Suzuki" instrument panel bulbs fail shortly after entering service on my last project. Ordered all new bulbs for my latest project but now second guessing myself. Existing bulbs are old, but relatively low mileage.

What say ye on using all new bulbs, or just testing the old ones and putting them back into service?

I'd stick with the originals unless they are covered with that silver crap all inside the bulb.

    They are tested and proven.
