    I am one of the newer guys to motorcycling, I have only had a bike for 40 years, and I got started later in life.

      2015 CAN AM RTS


      Stuff I've done to my bike:dancing: 1100E front end with new Sonic springs, 1100E swing arm conversion with new Progressive shocks installed, 530 sprockets/chain conversion, new SS brake lines, new brake pads. New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong.

        Never too old. I'm within spitting distance of you in age and have found the bike helps keep me in shape, especially helps with the arthritis in my left hand.

          If I say something right would somebody let me know. No, Im not serious but give me a break will you guys. I appreciate your help. I didn't realize that everyone on here was old too ! The pole & the 220 3 phase I can handle

                    Old is when you go to the garage & forget why you did, its when nothing ever goes right, its when the smallest job turns into a major project. Its when you have an implanted morphine pain pump and can only work 2 hours or ride 50 miles, it sucks. Too Many Toys, how much HP is that motor, you want an open or closed transformer bank on that pole ?

                      It's only 10hp. All the transformers are out on the street. When I was 5yo the pump was setup. Now 55 years later the Atlantic white cedar pole is getting a little eroded, although it's made it through all the hurricanes and Nor'easters we've had. An inspector would freak. It should have been brought in underground but they didn't do that around here back then.

                        Cedar poles almost never rot out, they just look bad but the core lasts forever. If it was put in UG it would have gone bad by now. Open bank {2 transformers} will handle 10 hp easy. Ill shut up now

                            Back to the compufire install.. I got it all wired and running well, but on the mounting of the compufire i used the stock location with the left mounting hole and then a zip tie thru the right stock mounting hole.. To get it to sit down instead of leaning against the frame i did some grinding off of the rear air cooling fins top and bottom, how much grinding of the fins is ok on the side that hits the frame? As long as you dont get near the white center housing the electronics im fine right? Thanks

                              Hmm well, your space it pretty identical to the space I have on my 750. I used the left stock mounting hole and drilled a hole for the right side of the Compufire into the mounting plate. Just shave enough of the lower right fins to clear the frame. I didn't have to touch the upper fins at all. There is a pic of my mounted RR here in the forum. Mine looked pretty much like posplayr's mount on his 1100. Yours' should too.
