    stupid Question

    my 78 gs1000 has plastic chrome indicators on the front is this normal as rear ones are cast metal chrome.

      No. The yanks are sleeping, shooting, smoking or scoffing. Give them time.

      I suspect your fronts are replacements. My 750's are all metal bodied.

        I just checked my other gs's ( another 1000 and a 850) and they are the same cast metal rear plastic front .wonder if its a new Zealand thing? or I'm just special lol

          The spares I got are chromed plastic ones and metal ones also. I think my 650 came stock with plastic ones front and rear-chips easily, the lens is stronger than the plastic body!

            All 8 turns signals that i have for the stock '78 GS1000 are chromed plastic.

                    The OEM signals were plastic. K&S made replacement signals made from metal. They look similar to the originals, but the stalks were thinner. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1977-1978-19...80e8da&vxp=mtr
