stator differences 1100esd vs 1100 ez/ed

What! some guys on here have never replaced theirs! I'd test it first- I bet you've seen this link
Even if it looks good, consider an upgrade to a series R/R as preventative maintenance- might let your stator last indefinitely.1981 gs650L

The "EZ" was the '82 E, the "ED" was the '83 E.
Sorry, but you can't have an '83 1100 EZ/ED.

There is no difference in the two stators.
Buy Steve's stator and get a Series R/R and forget about your charging.1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

series reg already installed, along with the sspb which i finished wiring last night. steve, i would be getting one of your rewinds, just have to figure a way around the finance minister, wink. ez/ed comes from the parts fische, quoted here: http://www.suzukipartshouse.com/oemp...or-gs1100ez-ed
