    81 gs550 dyna s

    I have a 81 gs550. My igniter is bad and I'm trying to figure out which dyna s I need. I have the factory electronic ignition with mechanical advance. There are no markings on the coil pick up for nd or I'd. What dyna s do I need ?

    You need to look for markings on ignitor box to tell what you have.

        Not sure where you are located but I ordered one from Dyna directly here in the UK and there is a small discount right now because their website can't process online orders at the moment.

        So now might be the best time to STRIKE!

          There are no markings on the igniter either and from my research it doesn't matter about the igniter. It's about what one the pick ups is as the mechanical advanced shaft is different.
