    Will this work?

Dynatek Dyna S Ignition System. ATV Galaxy is an authorized Dynatek dealer located in Irvine California. Fits: Suzuki GS 550/750 1977-1978 "KD". Dyna S Ignition System is a complete self-contained electronic ignition system built with the latest state-of-the-art engineering.

Can I use this with my stock coils? I put Dyna S on my gs1100ez years ago with the stock coils and it was fine. Has it changed since then?

Thanks I had the same question this morning and wondered about the stock coils working with it properly. Hated to have to buy new coils since I have so many stock ones laying around.

FYI they all run better with the Dyna coils, they are higher voltage and it does make a noticeable difference, but they will do ok with the stock coils.

People are right that a new Dyna coil will make a fatter spark but the stock coils do work just fine. What I do with my stock coils now is pick out the old plugs wires and put new ones in with new caps. As good as a new Dyna in my mind, at least for what I'm using the bikes for.

That's a neat idea. I never knew the wires would pull out of the stock ones. What size and brand of wires do you use, or does it matter?

That's what I did (about 7 years ago) and recently replaced the stock points set-up with Dyna.
