SH775 question

For those of you that have done the mod to a Polaris R/R unit:

I don't want to fry this thing before the bike even warms up so I'm searching threads for a basic installation and can't find one. At least I looked first...

Here's the stupid question: There are two connectors (I got the Triumph harness, too) One has three wires which I assume go to the stator. The other has two. One must be ground and one connects to the red lead that was on the old R/R unit. ie; power out. Can anyone tell me which is which?

I'm a little concerned that if I hook the hot lead up to my frame it could be instantaneously bad for the new Rectifier. FWIW the Triumph harness has a brown and a black wire, so that's not much help.

The positive wire is closer to the stator wires.
