flasher problems.
I have a quick question for you guys. I installed led blinkers on my 1982 gs750t , I have a problem now when I turn my blinkers on both sides will turn on. They also won't flash, there just solid light. What should I do? I went to the auto parts store and bought a two prong electronic flasher relay but this does nothing to help. Did I by chance bought the wrong one? What do I need to do? Do I need to buy a relay especially for led? Maybe a 3 prong relay and add a ground? Do I need to add resistors?
Thanks everyone for your advice I am trying to finish my bike today so I can ride up to the oso landside with a good friend and give respects to his dad's passing. -

Do you have a single indicator bulb on the dash that is supposed to be for both sides or do you have separate bulbs for each side?
If you have a single bulb, you will need to install a couple of diodes and do some minor re-wiring at that bulb.

Diode kits are available or you can make you own. See:

Yes I have a single indicator bulb. The weird thing is my flasher bulb in the dash will not flash when I turn the flashers on

Here is a diagram that I have posted before.
It is electrically the same as the one that jabcb just posted, but the difference in the drawing might make it easier to decipher.
The lower diagram shows the use of an LED in the dashboard indicator. Not sure if you could still use your stock bulb, as the LED signals might limit the current available.
