    Compufire Installation

I've already ready through the other install posts, but I just want to get one thing cleared up. I've read that attaching the R/R power to the fuse box is the preferred choice. With that said, can I just cut the spade terminal, crimp a new ring terminal, and attach it to the positive side screw as picture below?

NO. That is NOT the "preferred method" that has been outlined.

Find the stock red wire that is somewhere near the fuse box, connect the output of your Compufire to that.

I'm glad I asked cause I obviously misunderstood. So what is a simple way to connect the large 8 gauge from R/R to the 14 gauge power source?
