I ordered this because I noticed the part number was the same as the Polaris units. They are the Shindigen SH775 regulators.

I specifically am wanting the SH775 SERIES voltage regulator.. not the shunt type.

The reason I am asking before it arrives is that is I have to send it back it will be much easier if I do not have to open it first.

Oh, they'll cover the postage fees. That's big of them - if there's a problem, by definition, the stator being fried will be the 'problem', and I don't see them offering to buy you a new one.

The only way to be reasonably sure it's a series type is putting a clamp or proper meter in the phase lines and observing the unloaded/loaded behaviour.
You know what? I'd really hope it's a genuine series type, even if it is a knock-off, it might be worth the chance. However, since a real SH-775 can be got for 70-odd bucks I don't think I'd risk it.

Is this the Shindengen SH775 SERIES STYLE voltage regulator? That is my only concern.

Polaris uses the same part number (4012941) for the sh775 that you are using in this ad. I am trying to find out if it is absolutely the same type RR, or is this some trick?

The word MOSFET again ! Metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor- aren't you glad you asked ? The SH-775 doesn't appear to be a MOSFET unit (looks like SCR's), so either Nadia is confused/mistaken/fibbing.
I'd past - no worth saving $10.
