This is the Triumph harness model number you want: T2500676.

I should clarify..not the part number for the Triumph harness but the R/R itself.

Steve, I think the wiring harness T2500676 (Link Lead, Regulator) is for 2007 and later models Triumph Street Triple and Daytona 675's.

Do not mean to hijack this thread, but we are not the only ones to experience problems with the R/R on GS's. Just an interesting bit of information is that Triumph did a recall on their 2007 to 2010 Street Triple and Daytona 675's to replace the original SCR R/R's with MOSFET R/R's, after many R/R's failed. Probable cause of the failures could be that those R/R's are mounted about 2 inches away from the exhaust right behind the engine (those bikes have an undertail exhaust that come up behind the motor and under the seat). On later models the R/R is mounted inside the fairing near the front.

Triumph, as yet, don't use the series Shindengen reg/rec, but the series one uses the exact connectors of its fore-runners, the MOSFET types, that Triumph actually fit.

Most r/r do the same function switch an ac current to dc and regulate the current so most can be installed on any bike. I have an old Kawi 1000 r/r on my Gs1150 and it works great

Just goes to show that you can't always assume that the factory knew what they were doing. In this example it is pretty laughable that nobody was reviewing the design enough to figure out that mounting an R/R near the exhaust was a bad idea.

I agree completely some factory engineers should be slapped right up side head.
Every time I here someone say. Oh but the factory did it like that for a reason so it must be right. I just shake my head and think to myself "Idiot"

                      Hi all,
Just to confirm here on wiring the new SH 775.
Three wires come from my stator: Y, W/G, and W/B. W/G goes up the harness while Y and W/B are going to the R/R. Out of the harness a W/R also goes to the R/R, so I presume that Y, W/G and W/R are the three stator wires you speak of?

Just wanted to confirm that I am not to grab the W/G instead (if I did, I would have not idea on what to do with the W/R then!)

                      Thanks,

For those wanting to switch to the Polaris R/R setup, it was mentioned in one (or two) of the many threads on the subject that the CanAm/SeaDoo R/R part number 710001103 is identical to the Polaris unit. There is a vendor on Ebay selling these for $44 each:

I've no idea if these are OEM SeaDoo parts or aftermarket (I'm guessing the latter). I have ordered one and will report on it in more detail once it arrives.

The R/R (Rick's, oem type) just went kaput on my 1000G. This will be the third (and hopefully last) R/R replacement on this bike in the past 19,000 miles.

A genuine OEM Seadoo / Shindengen one is much more pricey than that - www.ebay.com/itm/190941015987

Here, we see the same trickery being used for Seadoo as is used in motorcycle and ATVs to promote no-name, possibly MOSFET, certainly sub-standard parts as fake OEM, with cunning wording designed to sucker people in... http://www.ebay.com/sch/sis.html?_nk...d=221382275541

In a large percentage of cases, I've noticed that sellers of genuine SH-775s make a point of showing the rear of the unit with the model number on it. A lot of people are now clued in to these and so are many sellers. This is why the more rogueish elements are being very clever with their wording - promising much without saying anything.

Just because something is aftermarket doesn't mean it's junk. If it is a series R/R, it will probably be fine. If it's a shunt R/R disguised to look like a series R/R. then I will have some feedback for the seller.

Like I said, I'm giving it a try to see what it is all about and report it to the forum. If it works as well as the OEM, why pay OEM prices for one? For years, we've been buying aftermarket stators and shunt R/Rs here that are much less money than oem and better quality. If this turns out to be a similar case, then great. If it's not, then we'll know.

Someone trying to sell one of these for $150, oem or not, is trying to rip people off. You can get them from dealers for less than that.

I didn't say it was junk - but since it's masquerading as being a direct replacement for the OEM, meaning it's a fair assumption to make that it's a series unit, and it turns out to be MOSFET or SCR, then it's sub-standard. Not just in my opinion, but fact.
Only reason people are looking for these is to put an end to the fried stator syndrome - kinda sticks in my craw and boils my urine that a seller is deliberately misleading buyers, based on that need.
This seller, and others, most definitely knows what he's peddling - and doesn't give a toss about anyone's stator as long as he gets the money.
They're popping up all around - sheesh, cut out the middleman and get them direct from China via Alibaba / Aliexpress.
