    Wiring harness ground wires question

    Hi

should both harness ground wire leads go to the same single point ground (the same as rectifier neg, battery neg, engine case lead)??
    And if not, then why??

    Thanks for the help

I'd leave "engine case lead" as is- only really gives good ground to starter motor, after that the single point grounding does the job nicely and ensures decent return path for loads .

      Agree.....

The engine case ground is primarily there to insure ground return for the starter back to the battery, it is basically not related to the "single point grounding" scheme.

Otherwise grounding has been described at length, the idea is to prove the best return path for all the current coming from the R/R.
