Yes ; I looked again and that is probably it. As I recall the stock three prog is properly configued just needs the ground applied properly to the e-. I did that in the harness so no other cuts required.

    Actually here is the schematic

If your TSCU doesn't work, just cut the plug off and leave some wire left. Attach the black/blue (on my bike) to the ground in the harness. That way you don't have to add splices or anything and it can quickly be put back to stock. Just look at your wiring diagram and the wire that goes from the flasher to the TSCU cut that and route it to the ground coming from your harness into the TSCU harness. Then cover the bare ends so you don't have live wires hanging out.

How do you put back to stock after cutting off the TSCU plug?

The only thing necessary for flashing (without TSCU) is to ground the B/Bl to the flasher(3 prong) or use a two prong flasher.

Just registered because I am having this exact same problem, but my tscu wasn't even on the bike when I bought it, not to mention the wiring the previous owner did is a complete mess. Gonna try a two connection solution in a few minutes cause grounding the B/Bl wire from the flasher socket made the lights stop working completely.

Grounding the b/bl is the solution for standard aftermarket flashers. The original oem gs flashers require the b/bl to be pulled to +12v

that difference in polarity is why the TSCU mod is nesessary when going to newer led compatiable flashers while retaining auto cancel.

Sorry for seeming a bit confused, but are you saying I can't run led flashers without the tscu at all? With both the oem and the led aftermarket 3 pin flasher, my rear led signals will light up but not flash. Doing anything, like grounding the B/Bl or bypassing it completely using a 2 pin system, won't even make them light up. I really don't want to buy a new tscu and wire it all up if it's unnecessary.

No you don't need a TSCU unless you want auto cancel.

i modified the last post to be more clear.

Not gonna lie, this is the most frustrating thing I've dealt with in some time.

Posplayer, if the TSCU is bad, then cut that connector off and use it. Don't destroy a good TSCU, but I thought the OP said his never worked.

OK I think I understand now. You are using the TSCU side of the TSCU harness connector to run a ground into the B/BL on the harness side of the same connector.

I was thinking you were cutting the connector off the harness. My bad

If all else fails, take a take a flasher, and LED with socket and connect it straight to the battery till it works. There are no too many combinations.

Flasher and LED work just fine when connected straight to the battery. Could it possibly be somewhere between the switch and the lights that it's losing the flash signal?

Yes, I grounded it to the battery and it worked until right when I was gonna connect it to the terminal. Now I've got nothing again.

Are you using a new LED compatibile flasher?
