That is a good price new. I got mine for $35 shipped, on eBay. Granted it was out of a late model wrecked Ranger, but it had low miles...

thanks for this. I have been trying to find out how to go about getting one of these to upgrade my bike for leds, and wasn't sure of an exact part number. now I have that and a comparison shop!

I just ordered mine from a local polaris dealer (local being Winnipeg Canada). I didn't want to end up with a counterfeit shunt regulator there was a lot of sketchily worded ads on ebay. calling them mosfet but not mentioning series etc.
In any case it was 104 Canadian 118 after taxes. for me that was 10 bucks less than motosport.

With shipping, it still had me $US45 cheaper than buying the unit here in Aus. I also would have had to pay more postage on top of that to get it from interstate here... damn Australia tax!

                Hi pete

did you order a stator as well? what was the best option to au?

Just replied in your build thread Simon... it's currently looking better for us to buy locally with the exchange rate and shipping prices the way they are.

It has been a while since I have included the BANDIT in one of my comparison shopping exercises, so it took a bit of searching. The parts list was a bit limited, but the results were rather typical:

How is everyone wiring these up? I checked that easternbeaver.com and while it said shipping would appear verty high until final check out, $940 seemed very suspect and I backed out of that page immediately.

See GS Charging Health in my signature for standard wiring instructions.

If you have room for the Weatherpack connector along with the SH 775 then go to GS Stator also in my signature for info on obtaining the connector on the cheap.

What was the total on your order?

It says right there, on the shipping page, that there is a $20 minimum order.

Minimum Order is $20: It’s not
possible for me to set a minimum order value automatically, so I have adjusted
the shipping cost for orders under $20 to ridiculous amounts.
I have played a bit with some parts ordering there and agree that $940 for shpping is ridiculous, no LUDICROUS. That might have been on a $10 order. Bump it up to about $14, shipping might drop to $500 or so. Make it $18, it might be 'only' $200. Get over that magic $20 mark, you will see shipping charges about $10 or so, depending on what all you have.

I have ordered from Eastern Beaver MANY times and have had absolutely NO problems.
Stuff gets here remarkably quickly, too, usually in about a week.

Please note that the stuff posted there was not just some arbitrary stuff to show the price difference, that was an actual shopping session and those were the only parts I was looking for. I should not have hijacked my own thread, but that list was a response to Griffin's comment about Bike Bandit's pricing.

Feel free to post your own findings on your shopping spree, but please start your own thread and keep this one about Polaris R/R pricing.

                            Thanks.

Found a new in box Polaris SH775 unit on ebay for $65 shipped so pulled the trigger. Don't need it right now but it's good to have a backup unit in case someone local is in need.

Ebay is full of counterfeit units these days so you gotta be careful before purchase if you stray from Steve's list of reliable suppliers.

Regarding Bike Bandit, I've found them to be one of the most reliable suppliers, but not the cheapest. I've bought a fair number of parts lately and BB is still expensive for the most part, but competitive on select parts.

I've been picking up GOOD used original SH775BA R/R's for around $45 each shipped on ebay. So far I've picked up 4 of them and not a bad one in the lot. Lots of Polaris Ranger and RZR's being dismantled these days but pretty sure that none are counterfeit. Sometimes they're a little dirty but always in good working order. These are tough Regs and are usually not damaged in normal use. I even reversed polaritied one by accident when installing an incorrect battery and no damage as a result. Can't say the same for my wire harness.

Just one more option for us really cheap-o's.
