      Easy fix: tape a styrofoam cup with some battery acid in it to a frame tube, let the sensor slosh around in it. Just watch the bumps and don't lean over too far.

          Agreed... but I bet tying it in a knot DOES keep the smoke from leaking out of the electrical system.
