Does anyone have experience with the digital speedometers? Just have 1 question

Im looking to buy a digital speedometer but so far everyone of them poses an issue.

How are any of these digital speedometers suppose to read the rpms on the gs1100's?
Considering there is a cable that is fed into the tach on the original equipment.

I have a Koso speedometer/tachometer and I connected the tacho input directly to the wire coming out of the hall sensor used for the OEM CDI.

That is probably a very good idea. The pickup will not have near the noise of anything connected to the coils. I wonder why Suzuki never did that? I have some pickup voltage plots somewhere; as I recall there is plenty of signal in the 5v snd above range.

So the hall sensor, which Im not sure exactly what that is, but im assuming it uses some type of pulsed voltage?

This is the gauge i was looking it. I really like the look of it

The hall sensor he is refering to is under the ignition cover.

I looked at some plots, it is not really much of a square wave but if you are lucky it will work.

I wonder why it says "not suitable for electronic ignition"?
What's for sure is that when I connected the Koso device directly to the coils it didn't work...
Another issue is that it comes only with two magnets to feed the speedometer meaning that the speed indication will probably not operate as smoothly as the Koso that comes with 6 magnets.
Small things that would justify the price difference in my view.
