Not sure how the harnesses differ, but the GS1000GT has a good part number still, but the GS1000GX isn't valid any longer. Pretty sure the T and X indicate different model years??

No experience with parts outlaw but here is another source for the T wiring harness. http://www.partsoutlaw.com/oemparts/...wiring-harness

Did your original light on fire? If not it may be worth going through and repairing/ upgrading the old one as opposed to replacing.

Good call on parts outlaw, Oddcycle. Forgot about them.

Nate, check out BassCliff's site for wiring diagram comparison's here:

A Haynes or Clymer's manual should have the wiring diagrams...

Got refered to that earlier. Checked it out. Has everything I'd ever need to fix my bike. Still reading up on everything. I think it's just gonna be easier to repair it

Please Help - Wiring Harness GS1000S

I purchased a GS1000S (Wes Cooley) in South Africa which has a stuffed wiring harness. I have searched the net from here to Timbucktoo but can't find a good used one anywhere. I did purchase a 1978 GS1000 harness a while ago but was incorrect. I'm told by my mechanic that a 1980 GS1000E would also work? The gauage configuration is the two gauges without the clock and temp gauge etc.

Can anyone offer me some help?
