    Gs850 charging system

Hi I was checking the bike for charging just by putting a meter across the battery poles (it is a good battery) on tick over I am getting a reading 14.1v at 1050 Rpm any significant rise in rpm from there gives a reading of 13.6 v is this a sign of a failing regulator or stator?
    thanks.

Are your tests with lights off? The Quick Test (see my signature) suggests 6 measurements which all have the lights on.

Since you are across the pond, and the voltage at low idle is so high, I'll swag a guess despite your incomplete measurements.
You have bad connections between battery and R/R ; proceed to Revised Phase A tests (see GS Charging Health in my signature)and measure the voltage drops at 5K RPM clean and repair as required to drive those voltages to below 0.2V (or better)..
