I have an extra, stock, 81 GS1100 4V ignition system assy(pick-ups,ignitor). I have a 78 GS1000 that has a points system . Can the GS1000 use a GS1100 Ignition assy? Good idea/Bad idea, or just go with the Dyna System?

never done it before but..............
The 81 ignitor probably uses a mechanical advance (at least my 83 does) so if you have the gs1000 advance to use with the ignitor it is probably the same difference. If it was electronic advance built into the ignitor it might work but probably a little different. -
