Throttle assembly housing worn, what are my options available?

    Hello community!

Having issues with my throttle assembly, found my grip was slipping past the stopping point, opened it up and noticed the plastic has worn away, on both the housing and grip. I'm thinking of getting am aftermarket throttle assembly, however it would not include the switch controls of the gs throttle assembly. Any suggestions as to what to do in this sort of situation? I would like to get the throttle fixed so I can do some work on the engine, however without the oem Suzuki assembly I'll lose the switch controls, including starter button and engine cutoff switch. Willing to improvise, anyone else have deal with this problem before? Would prefer to not buy a new oem throttle assembly, not a fan of the switch controls.

Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks folks! 14394945864211632560510.jpg

Why not just get a switch off ebay from same era suzuki and cannibilize its innards - seems to be plenty on ebay. Other than connector, what's the difference?

if you want to keep the original, you might be able to build up what's been worn off with some form of epoxy, like quiksteel. just over build it a little with the epoxy and then sand it down to where you need it to be
