    78 gs1000, Yosh 1085 timing

I have the Yosh 1085 kit in my 1000. It has dyna ignition and accell coils. Ported and polished, header. I burn supreme fuel.

the comp ratio is 10.5:1, should I be running the stock timing?

17 btdc @1500 and below and 37 btdc @3000 and above is in the manual

I borrowed an adjustable timing light from a buddy. So when I dial in 17 degrees, it should light up the T or F mark? My understanding is the T mark if at 17 and the F mark if 0, same if I dial in 37?
1978 Gs1085 compliments of Popy Yosh, Bandit 1200 wheels and front end, VM33 Smoothbores, Yosh exhaust, braced frame, ported polished head
1983 Gs1100ESD, rebuild finished! Body paintwork happening winter 2017:D

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.
Working...
