Sorry guys, I seem to be annoying you all :-( . Excuse my ignorance. I was just trying to solve my problem using the existing set-up. Unfortunately a previous owner had modified the wiring by installing a 3 pin relay base and he had run an earth to the chassis from that, therefore bypassing the TSCU earth. The +VE (orange) is common between both the relay and TSCU as per OEM. I just thought as it had worked before my electrical melt down, it should work again the same when I replace the flasher relay. I was just trying to understand what the TSCU actually did as there are a lot of wires coming from it and the switch block.

Well it is obvious you keep trying. If you read the link posted from above most is explained in either it or the other links that it links.
The OEM flashers and the Variety of newer flashers are all different as explained in the link. If you have the correct flasher the PO mods would probably work.

That is what the TSCU mod is about; getting the correct polarity of the flasher control wire. There are also two wire flashers if you never plan to have the TSCU working again.

I went back to review this thread (started 9/4) to see if I have been "too harsh" on the OP. Well I'm more stupefied than ever . The OP has repeatedly done things counter to what is written in the links provided and "guess what???" he still can't get it to work. Surprise Surprise. Maybe another 100 posts will help.
