    Headlight won't work.

    1980 850G.
Pulled this bike out of the corner. Been sitting 8 years or more. It's now running great, all other lights work and charging system is great.
No blown fuses. Tried a few different headlight bulbs that tested good. Has a r/r from a different bike(gs650) but all the wire colors were the same.
It also may or may not have a different right and left handlebar switch as I have scavenged parts from various other gs's and don't remember what came from where.
    I stink with a multimeter.
Anyone have any advice on how to track the power on this headlight?
Black /white tracer, yellow and white wires. High beam blue indicator does not come on either (it does work tho, I saw it come on when I was trying to jump other wires whIle trying to track the power)
Turn signals work. Start button/kill switch work.
If you would rather call me than try to explain things here, pm me for my number.

        Yes, thank you Steve.
We tracked the power and found a broken wire in the large bundle of wires coming from the left handlebar switch.
Must have gotten pinched in the triple tree/ neck.
        Let there be light

Pinched in the triple tree neck.....

Have done some lite modifications on mine.
Pulled into a old friends house one evening and went to go at night, no headlight.
Had the wires you are describing routed wrong.
Pulled them just enough to kill the headlight.
